Summary of Today’s Activities
First block health had their long, awaited test on the skeletal system.  I made the test a multiple choice, true/false, and matching test.  They were allowed to ask questions beforehand and then we took the test.  Second block presented their fitness plans to the class and I.  They had to develop a fitness plan for a client and describe to the class why they chose the exercises and client’s goal.  In fourth block, we reviewed for the test tomorrow.  I split up the test questions and gave half of them to the other half of the class.  They then faced off and asked each other the questions after they discussed with their team the answers to those questions.  A correct answer would get a point for their team.
Reflection

Today was bittersweet since it was my last day of instruction at Dan River High school.  The students were very sad that today was my last day of teaching.  I had to grade the tests during planning, and as I expected, the students that took interest in the subject did extremely well.  The other students struggled with the simpler, more basic questions on the skeletal system.  I hope they realize that they must work harder and not to take health class lightly.  There is no SOL testing for health, students must realize the importance of health in not only their lives, but other people’s lives as well.
