Date: August 25, 2014

The first day of student teaching started with a bang.  After the first block of 9th grade PE, two kids in the class stated their phones had been stolen.  The principal, assistant principal, and I took the kids into the locker room with their bags to search and ask questions.  One student found their phone in their book-bag, while the other never found his phone.  Needless to say, that was the first time I met the principal and assistant principal.  The rest of the day I observed in 2nd block Advanced PE, then 4th block Driver’s Ed/PE Class.  Throughout the day, I met a lot of students and staff.

Reflection:

The day was quite eventful and I met a copious amount of people although I cannot remember a lot of their names.  Everyone from the students to the faculty and staff were extremely nice.  Before walking into school this morning, I was curious to see how the students would handle having a student teacher introduced.  They all seem to be excited to have another teacher, but I do see some of them trying to push the boundaries and see how much they can get away with.
