Entry #13
School Placement: Dan River high School
Cooperating Teacher: Patricia Moore
Grades/Subjects: 9-12th Health/PE/Drivers Education
Date: September 25, 2014

In all of the PE classes, we played kickball with a big exercise ball.  In first block health, the students worked on the bell-ringer then reviewed the joints in the body.  I presented a PowerPoint on different types of fractures you can have on a bone in the skeletal system.  In fourth block Drivers Education class we played Jeopardy to help review for their test tomorrow.  Dr. Brenner was in attendance today to observe me teach.

Reflection:
Today was an eventful day to say the least.  Both Dr. Brenner and the assistant principal of Dan River observed one of my classes today.  I had found out that one of the kids I referred to the office yesterday was suspended for five days for leaving to go to the bathroom and skipping my class to see his girlfriend in the stairwell.  He had left my class for twenty minutes when I walked outside the classroom to see where he was.  When his girlfriend walked by, I knew something was going on.  I asked him where he was and of course he lied, so I told him I was not born yesterday.  Therefore, I wrote him up and the rest is history.  I am definitely learning day by day on how to handle all of these different situations.
